登場人物は理性的なアナと自由奔放なアナ。二人のアナが二人一役として「怠惰」「高慢」「激怒」「飽食」「姦淫」「貪欲」「嫉妬」というキリスト教の「七つの大罪」に翻弄されずにアメリカ大陸の７都市を旅して、無事故郷に帰るまでを描いた物語です。資本主義社会の発展に対する皮肉をユーモアと比喩を使って描くブレヒトの音楽舞踊劇。打楽器奏者/作編曲家の芳垣安洋が、クルト・ワイルの音楽を大胆に再生しています。ソロヴァイオリンバージョンは太田惠資によるエネルギッシュで甘美な演奏を奏でます。
